The Perth Project

So here we are in Perth, the city I grew up in and a city everyone says “its nice but what’s to do?” or “Its not Sydney or Melbourne”. I had given Niki the Grand Tour, two hours later she had seen Freo and the City and was scratching her head about what to do next. I assured her my home city, one of the most isolated cities in the world, must have something to offer mass tourism besides the dolphins up north and the rock shaped like a Wave in the middle of no where.

Which leads me to my feeble attempt to persuade Niki that Perth can be cool and there is something always to do (if you look hard enough). I have promoted myself to the new blogger of the best destination in the world (What’s that you say, Queensland and a Pom? sorry never heard of the place) and given myself a challenge – To do something touristy every week for the next 52 weeks within Perth or within a weekend away! Something fun, something adventurous, something cultural, something eco – something that no one believes Perth can offer and I will Blog my through it. I will rediscover the most isolated city in the world and all going well, Ill prove once and for all that Perth isn’t boring.

And so the Perth Project begins!
